UCERD HPC Chip Solutions

Our AI based Supercomputer solutions solve requirements coming from computationally extensive AI methods (e.g., Deep Learning) and/or large-scale datasets (e.g., massive networks).
Pakistan Supercomputing Center focuses on the development of centralized or decentralized supercomputing clusters for AI algorithms that can solve societal and scientific challenges faced by scientists nationally and internationally.

 

To develop a decentralized Scalable Supercomputer requires different hardware architectures and software techniques. Our scalable hetrogeneous computing solution is a low-cost compute node, which we call as “super-cluster”. This super-cluster uses heterogeneous processing cores including Central Processing Unit (CPU), Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). These super-cluster nodes can be combined together to form a mini-supercomputer and several of these mini-computers can be further combined to form a supercomputer. Thus, offering a high-performance computing platform which scales with the processing needs and financial budget.
